Feb 18 - 19 2012
The Hilton Anatole, Dallas, TX

While the US economy has continued to stagnate post- recession, the state of Texas is surging ahead. It created 37% of all new jobs in the country since mid-2009, and was one of the states least-impacted by the recession. Moreover, between 2004 and 2008, almost 500,000 Americans moved to Texas, more than any other state by far. What mix of business-friendly government policies, advanced infrastructure, and skilled labor force have made Dallas-Fort Worth home to more corporate headquarters than any other US metropolitan area? Why has Texas managed to sustain job growth and net migration while so many other states have failed? Through keynote addresses, executive-led seminars and a business plan competition we will look at how companies have created the Texas exception.
